Karl Ratzer
Karl Ratzer, born in 1950, had already reached the cult status in 1965 as the guitarist of the group “Slaves”. Soon after that, he joined the first Austrian super group “C-Department” and in 1972 founded the band “Gipsy Love” with Peter Wolf (Keyboard) and Supermax Kurt Hauenstein (Bass).
Soon Ratzer left for the USA where he joined the famous project “High Voltage” (later to become Rufus & Chaka Khan), with Chet Baker, Bob Mintzer, Tom Harrell, Bob Berg, Joe Farrell and Steve Grossman.
He returned to Austria for a short visit in 1974 while touring with the “American All stars” where he performed shoulder to shoulder with Harri Stojka at the “Wiener Camera Club” for the last time.
After returning to the States, Ratzer founded a new band in 1977 in New York with Jeremy Steig, Dan Wall, Eddie Gomez, Joe Chambers and Ray Mantilla, only to return to Vienna once again in 1980, where he worked with the greats such as Art Farmer, Clark Terry, Lee Konitz, Chaka Khan, Carl Verheyen and Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis.
He has also been a long time visiting professor at the Higher Music School in Graz, and since 2004 he has worked at the VMI – Vienna Music Institute.

Thomas Hojsa
Tommy Hojsa, piano, keyboards, accordion, voice.
Born on 4th January 1967 in Vienna, Tommy HOJSA picked up the piano at the age of 6, moving to the accordion later. He is also known for composing recitals (Singspiel) in the tradition of Viennese songs (Wienerliedes).
His latest work, the rendition of Molier’s comedy “Der eingebildete Kranke”, was performed at the Wiener Festwochen 2008 with a great success. Tommy Hojsa is climbing to the top of jazz, funk and rhythm&blues scene with his favourite instrument - Fender Rhodes Stagepiano 73.
Adi Mayr
Adi Mayr, bass, born on 12th April 1964 in Vienna, started playing the guitar when he was 6, later learning to play the drums and bass. He is a self-taught musician and a professional tradesman, who has worked at a circus and the central cemetery.
In 1992, as the producer of the band “Positiv”, he released the Dialekt CD “Menschlich betrachtet”, on which he played all the instruments.
He is a composer and author of radio shows and has been bass instructor, developing musical-pedagogical didactic games.
Together with Karl Ratzerom he has worked with Chaka Khan, Dorett Carter, Hallucination Company, Ostbahn Kurti, Rounder Girls, Roman Gregory, Roland Dueringer and Adi Hirchal.

Lenny Dickson
Lenny Dickson, drummer, born on 13th April 1956 in Springs, South Africa, started playing drums at the age of 15. After the army he reached Vienna over Holland and England.
He has worked with Peter Wolf, David Hasselhoff and Georg Danzer, and played on the soundtrack for the films “Muttertag”, “Freispiel”, “Mutig in die neuen Zeiten” with Roland Sicherits.
His life motto is: “Learn all your life”.

Zipflo Weinrich
Zipflo Weinrich was born on 16th June 1964 in Vienna, to a family of western European gipsies Sints. To inherit musical talent from his family, he started playing the violin when he was not yet 8. He studied Gipsy Jazz with the members of his family. Seven years later he had a concert in the legendary Jazz club in Vienna. From that moment on no one stood in his way to success. Zipflo Weinrich has performed with a number of world-class artists such as: Karl Ratzer, Fritz Power, Richard Öesterreicher, Barny Rassel, Attila Zoller, Oliver Jackson, Doot Thielemann and Red Mitchell. His talent for improvisation, feeling for rhythm and gentle nature have made him into a shining star of the Austrian Jazz Scene.
He has performed at a number of concerts and jazz clubs (Lappland, Graz, Villach, Wuerzburg, Nuemberg, Stuttgart, Muenchen and Salzburg).

Pepe Brito
Jose “Pepe” Brito, percussionist, born 22 June 1947 in Montevideo, Urugvay, plays the guitar and harp as well. In 1970 he moved to Cuba, and in 1975 to Argentina only to emigrate to Europe in 1977. He has been living in Austria since 1982.
