EAST AFFAIR

Jura Wajda, cymbal
Kim Efert, guitar
Mirek Pyschny, percussions, cajon
Fedor Ruškuc, double bass

The biggest surprise of the first evening was the good-looking, great and very strong East Affair. They come from Central Europe (Serbia, Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic). With jazz background and local repertoires of their home countries, they present a captivating amalgam of the East and West. Taking the central position in the band, there is the cymbal with its magical improvisations. The other instruments – the guitar, double bass and percussion are also charming. The group merges swing, inventiveness and charisma.
The evening ends up with Fidan, a mixture of blues, Turkish music, classical influence and a clear, marvellous voice of Esra Dafidan. Magnificent universe, poetics and catharsis follow this musical voyage.
