Eldad Tarmu
Eldad Tarmu is currently a professor of Jazz Studies at the “Richard Oschanitzky” Jazz Faculty, Tibiscus University, in Timisoara, Romania. He holds a Masters degree in Afro/Latin music from California State University Los Angeles. He has recorded and performed with some of the most significant figures in their musical genres including: Pancho Sanchez, Ernie Watts, Taj Mahal, Cybil Shepherd, Freddie Hubbard, Billie Higgins, Frank Morgan and Ron Affif. He has performed in 25 countries around the world in various festivals and concert tours. He has recorded six albums: Aluminum Forest, Get Up Close, Exotic Tales, Visits, Farewell St. George, Songs for the Queen of Bohemia. Get Up Close was number 20 on the US Jazz radio charts for four straight weeks. His latest CD, Songs For The Queen Of Bohemia, features a string quartet from the Timisoara Philharmonic and Israeli drummer Yoni Halevy. This eclectic project crosses jazz and Middle Eastern with chamber music. A related most recent project involves the Timisoara Philharmonic.

István Gyárfás
István Gyárfás was born in Budapest, Hungary, on 14-th May 1962. He is an electric engineer, jazz musician and a teacher. His first instrument was the violin. He started to play the guitar at the age of 12. He finished his studies at the Bartók Béla Jazz Conservarory, and at the Liszt Ferenc College of Music (in 2001), his professor was Gyula Babos. He playing swing and bebop style, and his favourite jazz guitarists are: Barney Kessel, Kenny Burrell and Wes Montgomery. Over the last few years he has played as a sideman with many top Hungarian jazz artists, for example: Sándor Benkó, Balázs Berkes, Tamás Berki, Gusztáv Csik, Csaba Deseő, István Grencsó, Gyula Kovács, Béla „Szakcsi” Lakatos, Tony Lakatos, Aladár Pege, István Regős, Ferenc Snétberger, György Szabados, Rudolf Tomsits, György Vukán. He perfomes a lot with his band, called Gyárfás István Trio in various jazz clubs. He played at several festivals in Europe (such as Austria, Slovakia, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Romania, Germany, Italy, Finnland, Holland, Great Britain and Denmark), in Africa (Kenya) and in Asia (Indonesia). He was often featured in CD and broadcast recording sessions with many Hungarian and foreigner artists. He played together with some famous American jazz artists, for example: Tommy and Mia Vig, Ernie Wilkins, Ed Thigpen, Big Red Ron, Tom Young, Bosko Petrovic, Eldad Tarmu, Benny Green, Ted Rosenthal, Carol Cass, Kim Hitchkroft, Herbie Mann and the guitarist Agostino DiGiorgio. His own CD records are: Captive Dreamer – with Gábor Winand (1990), Live at the Jazz Café (1996), Midnight in Pest – with Big Red Ron (1998), In Between – with Bea Munkácsi and Gábor Virágh (2000), Tale – with Csaba Deseő (2003), Nairobi Romance – with Béla Szalóky (2005) and Old Amsterdam (2006).
Branko Marković
Born in Novi Sad in 1957, he had studied double bass in Musical Academy in Belgrade since 1981. Being on Belgrade jazz scene since 1980. Branko has played whith all significant Serbian jazz musicians/bands as well as festivals with international names like Chat Baker, Lester Bowie, Don Moye, Philip Catherine, Less Mac Cann, Ed Thigpen, Larry Coryell, Horace Parlan, Alvin Queen, Tony Lakatos, Charles Mc Pherson…
In 1988 he becomes regular member of Big Band Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) playing and recording with Benny Golson, Eddie Henderson, Don Menza, Clark Terry, Diane Schuur, Vic Vogel, Ack van Rooyen, Peter Herbolzheimer, Brad Leally, Jerome Richardson, Dusko Goykovic, Mile Pavlovic, Ronnie Cuber, Steve Turre.
In the years1997 till 2003 he had teached double bass and small ensembles in Jazz department of secondary music shool “Stankovic” in Belgrade.
Branko Markovic is co-founder and Artistic Director of “North City Jazz & Blues Festival” in Kosovska Mitrovica since 2003, as well as “Whitefield Jazz Festival” in Bijelo Polje (Montenegro) since 2007.


Tavi Scurtu
Tavi Scurtu plays as a self-thought drummer and drum programmer with various bands and musicians, such as: Dan Mitrofan Group, Brigada Artistica Urbana (BAU), Aievea, iordache, Baumann, Jazz Credit, Funky Growl, Acum, Moody Stuff, Electric Version, Aquarium, Outernational Space Gipsy Consortium etc.
