She started her musical career in 1996. She was a vocal soloist for RNS, where she made her first permanent recordings for the record library of Radio Novi Sad. During this period she started her collaboration with Prof. Aleksandar Dujin, performing with his quartet. In 1998 she left for Belgrade, where she studied in Class of Prof. Ljilja Rančić (Madam Piano) at Music School "Stanković", in the newly formed Department of Jazz and Theory of Music. During this time she worked with Nada Knežević. In 2000 she won Grand Prix for interpretation at the "Beogradsko proleće" festival, and the same year she won an award for interpretation and the first prize of the audience at the festival "Miris Mediterana". By the end of 2000, she left for Egypt with her band, where she lived and worked intensively for a year. In 2002 she went to Norway where she stayed and worked for two months. Upon her return she started a career as a studio musician, singing back vocals for the albums of Ceca Slavković, Željko Joksimović, Saša Vasić, Romana, Goca Tržan, Đorđe Balašević, Sergej Ćetković, Glorija ... In 2004 she joined the band accompanying Vlado Giorgiev. In 2005 she went to the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy, within cooperation between the Cultural Centre of Novi Sad and Umbria Jazz Foundation, where she attended jazz theory, singing and gospel choir at the Berklee Summer School, in Class of Prof. Donna McElroy and Dennis Montgomery III. She intensively worked with the NSBrass Band and Aleksandar Dujin Quartet. She has performed with the Symphony Orchestra and RTB Big Band, and is currently focused on writing compositions for herself as well as other performers. In April 2009 Ceca Palada released her first maxi single "Indigo Child" World Wide, for the independent company "Amadearecords". In January 2011, she went to London to promote her single on BBC radio and performed in one of the most prestigious jazz clubs of London "Pizzaexpress Jazzclub" which has seen performances of: Norah Jones, Jamie Cullum, Diana Krall and many other jazz greats. Between 2009 and 2012 she worked as an assistant lecturer at the School of Pop Music of Aleksandra Radović. She is preparing her solo album ... living and working in Novi Sad.
ALEKSANDAR DUJIN
Composer, arranger and pianist Aleksandar Dujin (1959) was one of the most popular, best-known, promising pianists even before he completed his piano studies at the Conservatoire in Vienna. He plays different music styles ranging from jazz rock to acoustic cool jazz, acid-ethno jazz, vocal and Big Band music, which is evident from his discography which includes: "California, album of his original instrumental jazz-rock music (1987); "ADO ADO", acoustic, cool-jazz; (authors: Aleksandar Dujin and Stefan Pelzl, 1992); "Wheelz Around the World" acid-ethno-jazz (authors: Aleksandar Dujin and Stefan Zaradić, 1992-1996); "Funk & Soul" (vocal, big band music, with seven covers and two original numbers, 1995); "Smooth Jazz Vol. I" – featuring 6 original instrumental compositions and 2 covers of vocal compositions (1999) and "Vojvođanske impresije" (2003). On 22 October 2006, Aleksandar Dujin celebrated the 30th anniversary of his artistic engagement. In 2010 he carried out the project "Multicultural Education through Music" in Vojvodina, Hungary and Austria. In 2011 and 2012 he was the organiser and editor of the programme Green Town Jazz Fest in Sombor; author, music editor and executor of the project Dunavska Saletla - Mala novosadska muzička scena, in Danube Park in Novi Sad, the venue which has accommodated 176 concerts and 956 musicians. He lectured at the Summer Jazz Academy Novi Sad – Dortmund in 2011 and in 2012 he was the music editor of the first Jazz Open Air, jazz event at the Petrovaradin Fortress, Novi Sad. He has been a member of the Novi Sad Jazz Festival Council since its beginning. The Aleksandar Dujin Orkestra has performed three times (2001, 2006 and 2008) within the main programme of the Novi Sad Jazz Festival.
