ANIMATION – “BATERIA SAMBANSA”

The samba school Sambansa was founded in June 2007 in Novi Sad by Saša Ignjatović, a musician-percussionist from Novi Sad. Sambansa is the first samba percussion school in the Balkans, established with a goal to enable those interested to learn to play Brazilian percussions, spend quality time and enjoy travelling, performing and lively Brazilian rhythms.

Sambansa has had notable appearances at the Exit Festival, samba festival Sambaco in Coburg (Germany), the Kotor, Pančevo and Rijeka carnivals, the promotional parades of the Novi Sad Jazz Festival, New Year’s celebration on the Novi Sad main square, the National Film Festival  in Novi Sad, at the opening ceremony of the Delta Shopping Centre in Belgrade, Trenchtown Festivalu in Subotica, Open Heart Street in Belgrade, Street Artists Festival in Novi Sad, promotional parties of the Exit Festival, in the campaign  “Zamisli život” (Imagine Life) of the Ministry of Culture and Sport, at the Ship Carnival in Belgrade and various other events.
