RAINER RUSKUZ
WESP

Trio exists
since 2001. They intensively collaborated in period from March until
July 2002, performing in all important jazz clubs in Graz. As drum
and base band they also performed at audio-visual happening in Graz
city park.
In their music the audience can feel the
significant influence of New York scene, especially John Scofield,
Brad Mehladu Triom Medeski, Martin and Wood. Their experiment
consists of dressing all compositions in new
suits. |

WOLFGANG RAINER
He was born in 1977 in Innsbruck. At the age of thirteen he started
to play the drums. After High school he studied at the Conservatory
of Innsbruck in the class of Professors Norbert Rabanser and Stefan
Costa. Since October 1999 he has been studying at University of
Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria, in the class of
Professor Alex Deutsch and Manfred Josel.
He
has played with: Ray Anderson, Tone Jansa Quartet, Franz Hackl,
Florian Bramboeck, Christian Wegscheider, Roland Heinz, Clemens
Ebenbichler, Stefan Costa, Eddie Friel Rockband and Lubos Sramek
Trio. He is teaching at the international Summer-Jazz workshop
“Outeach” in Schwartz.

FEDOR
RUSKUZ
He was born in 1980 in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia. He learned violin in
primary school (in class of Professor Nina Nikolov) and finished
contrabass in High music school “Isidir Bajic” in class of Professor
Goran Kerleta. Since 1999 he studied jazz at the Academy of Music in
Graz in class of Professor Wayne Darling, where he graduated in
2002. Since July 2002 he lives and studies at the High School for
Music in Köln, in class of Professor Diter Manderscheid. He was
multiple rewarded on republic and state competitions of Yugoslav
music schools (in 1996 and 1998). Since 1999 he performs regularly
at the Novi Sad Old Gold Jazz Festival with Adam Klem band. He
performed with various bands in Croatia, Slovakia and Austria. Also
performed with his professors from the Graz Academy (Peter Kunsek
and Andre Jeancartier). In 2002 he was an associate at the Master
school in Vrnjacka Banja, conducted by Stjepko Gut. He participated
in workshops of Joe Labarbera, Niels H.O. Pedersen, Barre Phillips,
Claudio Roditi and others.

ROLAND
WESP
He was born in 1976 in Salzburg, Germany. Studied violin and classic
piano at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Since 1997 he studies jazz-piano
at the Academy of Music in Graz in class of Professor Harald
Neuwirth. He is one of most wanted jazz piano players in
Graz.
He participated in various projects with
Karl-Heinz Mikin, Claudio Fasoli and Alex Deutche. He also
participated at music workshops with Dave Liebmann and Adam
Holzmann.
He is engaged as a music associate in
Schauspielhaus (main theatre) in Graz. |
