ADRIANE
MUTTENTHALER
She was born in Canada and currently living in Austria. Studied at
Vienna Music University and Vienna Conservatory. She is the leader
of Criss-Cross jazz sextet. She won music awards for composition
from Theodor-Körner-Stiftung, Austrian Ministry of Education and
Arts and Cultural Department of Vienna, and a scholarship for
composition by Republic of Austria in 1999. Composed jazz and
classical music for the following ensembles (chamber music): Koehne
quartet, Das Boesze Salonorchester, NÖ-Bläsersolisten. She also
composed film, dance and theatre music. She played with Chat Baker,
Leo Wright, Wolfgang Pusching and others, and held workshops in
Austria and abroad. She is also a member of ÖKB, IGNM and
INÖG.
STEFAN
ÖLLERER
Born in 1968. Since 1992 until 1996 studies at Vienna
Conservatory.
Since 1995
works at Austrian jazz-blues-soul and funk
scene.
Played with the following bands: The
Original brothers, Farmers market, Michael Kneith Quintet, Lubric
Flow, Criss-Cross, Concert Jazz Orchestra Vienna, Upper Austrian
Jazz Orchestra, Richard Oesterreichner Big band, Teddy Ehrenreich
Big band, Trompeteria, Ganch & Roses, Stella Jones, Gloria
Gaynor, Reinhard Fendrich.
HEINRICH WERKL
Studied at Vienna Conservatory (classical music and
jazz).
1980 he formed the jazz trio “Mexas”.
With this trio he toured trough Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
Collaborated with Al “Fats” Edwards, Lee Harper, Elly Wright,
Wolfgang Pusching, Leo Wright, Mario Lima, etc. By Mario Lima he got
familiar with Brazilian music and gave concerts all over Europe.
1983 jazz sextet was founded by Adriane Muttenthaler. Heinrich Werkl
is a member of this band and writes compositions for this formation.
They had concerts in Israel, Turkey, Jordan, Germany, Mexico and
Austria. Since 1977 Heinrich Werkl works together with Roland Batik.
The “Roland Batik Trio” played in many famous concert halls like:
Brucknerhaus Linz, Musikverein Vienna, Konzrethaus Vienna… Heinrich
Werkl shows his wide musical range in his collaboration with
classical musicians like Angel Romero “Vienna Virtuosi”…(Europe and
Asia).
Since 1995 there exist the ensemble
“BRIDGES” (Woody Schabata – marimba, Roland Batik – piano, Heinrich
Werkl – bass.)

KRIŠTOF
Born in 1957 in Dvor, Austria. Drummer, conceptual artist and
performer.
Works with
Wolfgang Pusching, Klaus Dickbauer, Uli Scherer, Ali Gaggl, Hélčna
Labarriere, Linda Sharrock, Mike Mantler, Michel Godard, Harbert
Joos, Rick Iannacone, Radu Malfatti, Stefan Wittwer, Wolfgang
