RISTA
TRAJKOVIC
He was born in 1948 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. He graduated at
Belgrade Music Academy, Department of flute, in class of Professor
Miodrag Azanjac. He obtained his MA at Zagreb Music Academy,
Department of saxophone, group for contemporary music in class of
Professor Ozren Depolo. Together with Ladislav Fidri he founded
Zagreb jazz sextet. With Sasa Nestorovic he founded Zagreb Vind
quartet. For two years he worked with Radio Television Zagreb jazz
orchestra as a baritone saxophone player, as well as in Radio
Television Sarajevo jazz orchestra. Since 1976 he is a member of
European Big Band founded in Bruxelles. Since 1989 he lives in Nis,
where he founded a few smaller bands and played in Naisus Big Band
and Nishville Big Band as well. From 1922 until 1994 he is a member
of Afro jazz summit and ethno connection in Rome. In 1995 he founded
school for saxophone that raised several young saxophone players
that currently live and work abroad. Regularly
collaborates with Radio television Sofia Bog Band and its conductor
Vili Kazasijan. He performed with Jildiz Ibrahimov, Hilda Kazasijan,
Jennifer O’Conely, Ljubomir Denev and Julian Janushev. He
collaborates with Athens Youth Big Band. With the last formation of
Oke Connection he performed at all jazz festivals in the country and
abroad.
ZORAN STANISAVLJEVIC
He was born in 1972 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. He is a postgraduate
student at Belgrade Music Academy, Department of conduction. He is
also an assistant at Nis Music Academy. He conducts over Belgrade,
Nis and Skopje Philharmonic Orchestras. His preoccupations are
ethno, jazz, Byzantine music, as well as the ancient Asian music. He
is an associate of “acoustic version” and Sofia Big Band and founder
of Southern rhythm section. He formed several quartets and quintets
at the Bulgarian state radio.
MIROLJUB MIKI MILOSEVIC
He was born in 1977 in Dimitrovgrad, Bulgaria. He is a student of
Sofia Music Academy, Department of jazz, group for electric bass in
class of Professor Vinton Sautner. Won the first prize for his
instrument at the competition in Lausanne. He is a member of Sofija
Big Band, “acoustic version”, as well as Stit Bap orchestra. He
belongs to the group of young jazz artist that understands jazz as a
contemporary music.
MILOS VOJVODIC
He was born in 1979 in Nis, Yugoslavia. He is a student of Sofia
Music Academy, Department of jazz, group for percussion. As addition
to studying he collaborates with Gil Evans Orchestra. He is a member
of Southern rhythm section, performed at all recent festivals in
Yugoslavia and abroad. He won a special prize for the best young
jazz musician at the Malme competition. |
