Music of
Vasil Hadzimanov Band can be defined as natural harmony of
tradition, roots, the most precious music heritage together with the
music of today, or even better tomorrow, and what is yet to be
revealed. We talk about the new-born, fully
authentic group of musicians. Their power, rapture and talent has
been best recognised and supported by PGP RTS music house, that
wants to donate a true sound to the lovers of good music. You can
name Vasil Hadzimanov's music as jazz, funk, ethno, rock, techno,
afro-cuban or pop…and you will always be right. It is all that and
something more. It is a fusion of all of those styles, in the same
time bringing that fine note of author's contribution that not many
of others have.
VASIL HADZIMANOV – piano, keyboard
Studied piano and theory at “Stevan Mokranjac”, one of the oldest
music schools in Yugoslavia. In the age of seventeen wins a
scholarship of international artistic camp “Interlochen” in
Michigan, USA. Next year (1992) he enters Berklee College in Boston
and within four years graduates at the department of piano and
composition (1995). For the next two years he works and creates in
New York together with some eminent jazz names (Milt Jackson, Curtis
Fuller, Byron Stripling, Gary Thomas, Matt Garrison, David Gilmore).
Every return in Belgrade he dedicates to playing with Yugoslav jazz
masters (Dusko Gojkovic – European tour, Stjepko Gut, Jovan
Maljokovic – Montreaux jazz festival, European tour…) and young
lovers of that music, what at the end resulted in the idea of
bringing together foreign and Yugoslav
tradition. Vasil Hadzimanov Band. Vasil needed
three years for finding the right band, with witch he performs and
tours around the former and present Yugoslavia since May 1997
(concert for JDP in the hall of Kolarac Foundation, Belgrade

publishing house in Stutgart; jazz festivals in Novi Sad, Valjevo,
Pancevo, Nis, Skoplje and Kumanovo (Macedonia), Cerkno and Maribor
(Slovenia), Banja Luka and Zelenkovac, concerts all over Republic of
Serpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina and
