MATIJA
DEDIC
Born in 1973 in Zagreb, Croatia, where he had finished the primary
and high school of music arts, after which he went to Graz onto Jazz
College where he graduated. After comeback to Croatia, Matija Dedic
started to play with lots of jazz musicians in Croatia and other
European countries, including jazz stars such as Alvin Queen, Ónder
Focan, Ron Ringwood, Martin Drew, Patrizia Conte, Bosko Petrovic,
Mark Murphy, David Gazarov, Gianni Basso. Matija is also writing and
recording music for theatre and television and frequently appears as
a guest musician on many pop albums. His debut album “Octopussy” won the Croatian
discography award “Porin” for the best domestic jazz album. Matija
was also awarded as the best instrumentalist in Croatia in years
1998 and 1999. In year 2000, 2001 and 2002 Matija gets more
“Porin’s”, Croatian composers’ award for contribution to Croatian
music, “Ivo Vuljevic” prize for young musician of the
year. He entered in semi finals of “Montrey
Jazz solo piano Competition” in year 2002, under conducting of
Quincy Jones. Matija’s
mother, Gabi Novak, is famous Croatian singer, who sang with L.
Armstrong, H. Merrel, G. Burton, T. Tielmans, P. Woods and other,
and his father, Arsen Dadic, famous Croatian singer-songwriter, was
a Premio Tenco winner in 1984. Among other significant prizes, he
also won a Jacques Brel prize.
KRUNOSLAV LEVACIC
Krunoslav Levacic was born in 1957 in Zagreb, Croatia. He is an
outstanding musician that has collaborated with the most respectable
names of music world, such as: Charlie Mariano, Mulgrew Miller,
Grady Tate, Alan Praskin, Dusko Gojkovic, Gianni Basso, Lee Konitz,
Ferenz Snettberger, David Friedman, Dino Dvornik, Massimo Savic,
Goran Bare, Croatian Radio and Television Symphonic Orchestra, Ulli
Beckerhoff, Thomas Clausen, Simone Zanchini, Nicolas Simon, Tamara
Obrovac, Aladar Pege and many others. He is also a co-founder of
many ensembles like Boilers Quartet, The Bastardz, Song Killers,
Folkestra, etc.
SALVATORE MAIORE
Salvatore Maiore was born in 1965 in Sesari, Italy. He graduated
contrabass at the Conservatory in Cagliari. Since 1992 he lives at
the north fo Italy where he started nombreous collaborations among
which are Frank Cherry and Enriko Intro Quartet, Sardegna Quartet,
New Latin Ensemble of Arigo Capelleti, Glauko Venieri Trio, Gramelot
Ensemble of Simona Gaudichi, Internos Quartet (with Paolo Feusa),
Belan Lopez de Munian Trio, l`Italian Project di Kenny Wheeler,
“Koinè” group of Roberto Otaviano, Sing Without Songs Quartet,
Mufloni Quintet, “Transhistria Ensemble” of Tamara Obrovac, “Clear
Now” Quartet of Alberto Pinton and Klaus Gesing Quartet. He
participated in creation of multimedial projects such as: “Janas”
(ballet spectacle), “Sos Sinnos” (theatre music spectacle), “Vieli,
dragon and the knight” (music spectacle with the talking head),
“Homeland guard” (music film comment). He won the following
contests: “Jazz Contest” (first prized group), “Jazz in Vienna”
(first prized group), “Contest of high music specialisation” (won a
scholarship). Created several projects as a leader “Das Kabinett des
Dr. Caligari” (music film comment), “A Boghe E Ballu” quintet and
quartet, bearing his name. Had various concerts and tours in Italy
and abroad: France, Portugal, Spain, Slovenia, Hungary, Holland,
Croatia, Israel, Sweden, Germany, Macedonia.
He
obtained various concert and discography collaboration with Italian
and foreign musicians, among witch are: Lee Konitz, Enrico
Pierannunzi, Enrico Rava, Nguyèn Le, Billy Cobham, Franco D'Andrea,
Claudio Fasoli, L. Butch Morris, Joseph Jarman, Steve Grossman,
Cedar Walton, Pietro Tonolo, Flavio Boltro, Roberto Gatto, Eliot
Zigmund, Tino Tracanna, Gianni Coscia, Gianluigi Trovesi, Luca
Flores, Nicola Stilo, Jacques Pellen, Kristen Nogues, Olivier
Manoury, Oliver Lake, Elena Ledda, Antonio Faraò, Mairtin O'Connor,
Ralph Alessi, Sandro Satta, Chris Speed, Paolo Birro, Kyle Gregory,
Erik Friedlander, Mauro Negri, Bebo Ferra, Saverio Tasca, Andrea
Dulbecco, Fausto Beccalossi, Francesco Sotgiu, Achille Succi,
