Jasna Jovićević graduated from Jazz Saxophone Department of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Arts in Budapest, and she finished her master studies in musical composition at York University in Toronto. At the moment, she is a PhD student at the FMC in Belgrade, Department of Interdisciplinary Studies of Modern Arts. She was educated in the USA, Brazil and Austria. She is a winner of several awards at competitions and fellowships for artistic residencies in New York, San Francisco, Spain and Canada. She has played with famous artists such as Hamid Drake, Mike Stern, Bojan Zulfikarpašić, Al Di Meola, Szakcsi Lakatos, Fekete Kovacs Kornel, Laszlo Attila and many others. She has performed at festivals across Europe and Canada (Jazzycolors Paris, TD Toronto Jazz Festival, Budapest Jazz Festival, Pula Jazz Festival, Roulette, Cobiş Place – New York, Timişoara Jazz Fest and many others). She has released ‘Invented Reality’, ‘The Sound of Birds’ and ‘Travellers’ solo albums and ‘Flow Vertical’ with the Jasna Jovićević Sextet for English publisher FMR Records and she is featured at ten other albums.

She has been working in education as a professor of flute, saxophone, music theory and history, musical methodology, vocal-instrumental lecturer at the level of secondary music schools and faculties for last ten years. She is a professor at the High School of Vocational Studies in Subotica.

She is the author and leader of artistic educational projects for children and contemporary art within the ‘ARTRUST’ Citizen Association, non-governmental organisation, being the president herself. MIKLOS SZILVESZTER, drums

Miklos Szilveszter is a drummer of the middle generation, originating from Vojvodina. After the violin, he continued his studies and playing jazz music on drums. He graduated from the Jazz Department of the “Franz Liszt” Academy, and plays with avant-garde creative artists such as Grencsó István, Benkő Róbert, Pozsár Máté, Ajtai Péter, Mezei Szilárd, Szelevényi Ákos, Dresch Mihály. On the international scene, he has performed with Lewis Jordan, Johannes Bauer, John Dikeman, and Peter Brötzmann among others.

 

KSAWERY WOJCINSKI, double bass

Ksawery Wojcinski is a Polish double bass player, who is a recognised and active musician on the contemporary jazz scene. He graduated from the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, Poland, and has played at major international festivals all over Europe: the Abank Jazz Festival (Istanbul), Periferias Festival (Spain), Berlin Jazz Festival, Nordischer Klang (Germany), InJazz (Holland). He has recorded more than twenty albums of original music as a soloist and sideman, with musicians including Hamid Drake, Uri Caine, Charles Gayle, Nicole Mitchell, Satoko Fuji, Alan Bern, Michael Zerang, Mikolaj Trzaska, and many others.
