In October 2001, as a part and from the members of the Town Wind
Orchestra was founded a quartet, consisting of 2 trumpets, a trombone
and a baritone, which were meant to perform music which was not
in big orchestra repertoire. The quartet soon started cherishing
street performances in various places (Belgrade, Novi Sad, Vrsac,
Zrenjanin), which is in our country still in its infancy.
Half a year later another member joined the quartet - on percussion
- and because of that the Quartet is today called the Quartet
Plus.
Since then, the Quartet Plus has received, apart from street performances,
many various engagements: club performances, exhibition inaugurations,
theatre and other festival openings, anniversaries, celebrations,
cocktail parties, summer stages, etc.
The Quartet Plus cherishes Dixie style, swing, bossa nova, Latino,
evergreen, even old folk and ethno music. In a short time, the
Quartet Plus has obtained the reputation of a good quality, creative
and merry band.
