FEDOR RUSKUC was born
in 1980 in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia. He learned Violin at primary
music school (in the class of Professor Nina Nikolov) and Contrabass
at "Isidor Bajic" Music High School in the class of
Professor Goran Kerleta. From 1999 he studied Jazz at the Academy
of Music in Graz in the class of Professor Wayne Darling, where
he graduated in 2002. Since July 2002, he has lived and studied
in Köln (at the College for Music), in the class of Professor
Diter Manderscheid. He received numerous awards in republic and
state competitions of Yugoslav music schools (in 1996 and 1998).
Since 1999 he has performed regularly at the Novi Sad Old Gold
Jazz Festival with the Adam Klem Band. He has also performed with
various bands in Croatia, Slovakia and Austria, as well as with
his professors from the Academy of Graz (Peter Kunsek and Andre
Jeancartier). In 2002 he was an Associate at the Master School
in Vrnjacka Banja conducted by Stjepko Gut. He has participated
in the workshops of Joe Labarbera, Niels H.O. Pedersen, Barre
Phillips, Claudio Roditi and others.
NEMANJA REBIC was born in Novi Sad on 7th July 1979.
In Novi Sad he attended elementary and comprehensive schools,
'Djordje Natosevic' and 'Isidora Sekulic' respectively. He started
playing the guitar when he was 12 years old. He was taught his
first chord by (sadly the late) Pera Bahun. He did not go to music
school but was mostly self-taught. In 2001 he was admitted to
the preliminary year at the Conservatory in Amsterdam. He is currently
studying at the Department for Jazz Guitar.
ADAM KLEM He was born in Novi Sad in 1976. He finished
primary and secondary music schools and comprehensive school.
He is currently studying Saxophone at the University of Music
and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria, in the class of Professor
Karl-Heinz Miklin. He also went to the Music Studio in Budapest,
Hungary where he studied in the class of Tuzsko Csaba. From 1994
to 1996 he worked as an associate member of the RTS Novi Sad Dance
Orchestra. From 1996 to 1998 he was a member of the STOMP jazz
quartet. Since 1999 he has led his own ensemble, the ADAM KLEM
QUARTET. The Adam Klem ensemble had noticeable performances in
1997, at the Jazz Time Fest, then at the Novi Sad Jazz Festival.
He has recorded for RTV Novi Sad and the Austrian ORF. In the
year 2000 he performed with the STOMP quartet at the Budapest
Youth Jazz Festival, and in 2001 the Adam Klem Quartet starred
in Pula and other towns in Istra, Croatia.
He received a scholarship from the Austrian Ministry for Culture
and went to the Sebelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland. He was
taught by Jari Perkiomäki, Manuel Dunkel and Eero Koivistoinen.
After returning from Finland, he started playing in the band led
by the legend of the Austrian jazz scene, guitarist Karl Rotzer
and young Slovakian composer, Erik Rothenstein.
He has performed with different bands in Finland, Sweden, Germany,
Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, B&H, Croatia, Austria, Hungary,
Egypt, etc.
JOHANNES THOMA was born on 2nd July
1974 in Vienna. He has been playing the piano since the age of
13 including classical music. Later on he transferred to jazz.
He has also actively played the violin for ten years. After graduating
from the Jazz Academy in Austria he went to the Berklee College
of Music for a year (after winning the scholarship at an audition
in Italy). He is currently teaching Piano at the Schubert Conservatory
(Academy) in Vienna.
PREDRAG PERIC was born
in Kosovska Mitrovica in 1970. He has been in Graz since 1994.
He mostly plays Bebop and Latino Jazz. He has worked with: Stjepko
Gut, Dusko Gojkovic, Renato Cicho, Andre Jean-Cartier, Fritz Pauer,
Ehud Asheire, the Maja Jaku Band, etc. He has performed at domestic
festivals, and spent some time in New York where he played in
famous jazz clubs. He frequently performs with the best Latino
band in Austria ('Montevideo') and is one of the most wanted Bebop
drummers in Graz.
