TRIGON

In 1993 three enthusiasts, working until then in different orchestras, got together and started to play a music in a genre difficult to classify, a music for the soul.

Anatol Stefanet (alto, vocal), a folk musician from the age of 12, who issued 3 solo CD's of folk music in France, was offering the musical theme. Sergiu Testemitanu (bass) and Oleg Baltaga (drums), with a rich experience in group like "Contemporanul", "Orizontul", the group of Maria Codreanu, were following the theme, enriching it with their improvisations, completing each other. The Art-Jazz-Folk trio was born. From 1999 with group activated Alexandru Murzac - bass player.

In 1994 the French recording house SILEX produced their first CD "Moldovan Wedding in Jazz". It was this CD that brought them European acclaim - TRIGON's CD received the Grand Prix of the French Academy of Music "Charles Cros". The group toured extensively in Romania, Bulgaria, Norway, Lithuania, Spain, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, France, Holland, Poland, New Zealand, Switzerland, Byelorussia, Yakutia, England, Czech, always with a huge success.

TRIGON's style encompasses elements of folk, jazz, rock and symphonical music. Their jazz compositions are characterized by brilliant improvisations and a keen understanding of musical forms. TRIGON is undoubtedly an phenomenon in modern jazz music in its highest intellectual expression.
  L. Osipova, Vice-president Un. Composers of Russia
